By the Grace of Almighty, CARe Medical College is going to start admitting students in the 6th batch MBBS course in the session 2019-2020.
Our primary aim is to produce competent medical graduates who would have essential knowledge and clinical skill to handle common health problems
of the people of Bangladesh.
The objectives of this college is to raise the standard of medical education in private sector as well as helping government activities to
improve health systems for the people. The student and faculty members of the college will also be involved in community-based research activities
at an international standard. Another objective of our institute will be to provide essential health services to the people at an affordable cost.
We hope that the medical graduates of this institute will be able to inspire their respective health teams and lead them with dedication.
On behalf of the organization and the governing body, I congratulate all the students who are going to join this institution and hope that
they will try their utmost to benefit from the opportunity.
Initially, the college might come across many hurdles, but we hope to overcome that and establish this college as one of the best institution
in the region. I would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all those who worked hard and helped us to achieve our
objectives in establishing CARe Medical College.
I am very much delighted to announce that CARe Medical College is going to admit its 6th batch of students in
MBBS class for the session 2019-2020. CARe Medical College is the fruit of sincere and endless efforts of few
experienced health professionals involved in teaching and research activities for a long period. Our aim is
to make this institute a model for producing competent doctors having commitment to their profession as well as to nation.
The college needs active support and cooperation from all corners, particularly from the guardians and dignitaries.
We have an experienced group of teachers, from professors to lectures, who are dedicated and committed. The classes of
the all batch students are going on regularly including ‘card final’ and ‘term’ examinations. Our college has got
all departments, library, lecture halls, tutorial rooms, laboratories, dissection hall, common rooms, conference room
and other facilities equipped with modern technologies. The Hospital building contains 250 beds having
Emergency, Outdoor, General Wards, ICU, CCU, HDU, NICU, PICU, Cabins, Modular Operation Theatres all types of
modern investigation facilities like CT Scan, MRI and so on. Both College and Hospital buildings are centrally air conditioned.
Under the leadership and guidance of our dynamic and visionary Chairmen, we hope that CARe Medical College will fulfill its commitment.
We have achieved a glorious result in all Professional Examination in May-2018 under the University of Dhaka which indicates
the devotion and hard labor of the teachers and the students. I congratulation them for this achievement.
I expect that the incoming students would be devoted to their students and at the same time they would perform extra-academic activities.
I am confident that this college will emerge as one of the leading medical institutions of country.
‘CARe’ stands for ‘Centre for Assisted Reproduction’ which was established as a tertiary centre for infertility
treatment in November, 1999 at Shaymoly, Dhaka. This was the first institute of its kind in the country equipped
with all sorts of latest technologies required for ‘In-Vitro Fertilization.’ The first IVF babies in Bangladesh
‘Heera, Moni, Mukta (triplets)’ were born on 30th May, 2001 in this centre. The first ‘ICSI’ (Intra-Cytoplasmic
Sperm Injection) baby ‘Persa’ was born on 20th June in the same year. This achievement was possible for firm
determination and relentless effort of Prof. Dr. Parveen Fatima a renowned Gynecologist and Infertility Specialist
and Prof. Dr. Moazzam Hossain was an Embryologist as well as a Pediatrician.
Considering the difficulties and sufferings of the patients to get medical services from different places,
we decided to deliver all types of health services under one roof. With this idea in mind, initially a ten-storied
building with 2 basements (72,000 sqft.) was built in 2005 at 2/1 Iqbal Road, Mohammadpur named ‘CARe Hospital,’
purposefully built as a hospital. This is a centrally air-conditioned building and quipped with all sorts of modern
technical facilities required for health services. The state-of-the-art IVF Laboratory, Operation Theatres, NICU, PICU
and other facilities related to Mother and Child Health Care are the prime attractions of this hospital. The location
of the hospital is easily approachable, fascinating, on the main road and adjacent to Sangsad Bhaban and Gonna Bhaban.
In 2010, another ten-storied hospital building with one basement (70,000 sqft.) having 250 beds was started on the main
road at College Gate just opposite Sohrawardi Medical College & Hospital. It was named as CARe Specialized Hospital
and Research Centre’. This building is also centrally air-conditioned having emergency, out patient department,
general wards, cabins, ICU, CCU, HDU, Haemodialysis unit, Modular operation theatres, and investigation facilities
like CT Scan, MRI, digital X-Ray, 4-D Ultrasonogram and so on.
The present CARe Hospital building has been restructured and renovated as CARe Medical College and CARe Specialized
Hospital and Research Centre is renamed as CARe Medical College Hospital.
Admission to CARe Medical College for the five years MBBS course is open to all who fulfilled ilis lialowing selection criteria. The number of students will be admitted for the upcoming session is 50. Admission will be done on merit basis and follow the same criteria as prescribed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
